How to Crochet a Snowman

What did one snowman say to the other?

It smells like carrots.

Time to celebrate the chilly season with a mini crocheted snowman amigurumi! 

The Materials:
•The Yarn (Worsted Weight)
– Black (Hat / Buttons)
– Orange (Nose)
– Brown (Arms)
– White (Body)
•Size G6/4.00mm Hook
•Plastic Saftey Bead Eyes
•Stuffing
•Needle
Gauge : 5 Rnds and 4 sts per 1”
Finished piece is about 2” tall
Worked in the round

The Stitches:
– Ch : Chain stitch
– St : Stitch
– Sl.st : Slip Stitch
– Sc : Single Crochet
– Hdc : Half-Double Crochet
– Dec/Inc : Decrease/Increase
– InvDec : Invisible Decrease
– FLO : Front Loops Only
– BLO : Back Loops Only

Top Hat:
[All in Black]

Ch 2 or use Magic Loop method

Rnd 1: Work 6 scs in the 2nd ch from the hook or into the magic loop (6)

Rnd 2: inc in each st (12)

Rnd 3: Working in FLO, sc in each st (12)

Rnd 4: Working in both loops and back loops from Rnd 3, sc in each st (12)

Rnd 5 – 7: sc in each st (12)

Rnd 8: Working in FLO, [sc 1, inc] repeat 6 times (18)

Working in both loops, sc in first st from Rnd 8, sl.st in next st, cut yarn, pull through and hide the end.

Nose:
[All in Orange]

Ch 3

(02:28) Row 1: Working in back loops of the chs, skip the first ch, sc 1, hdc 1 (2)

Ch 1, cut the yarn and pull through leaving a long enough end to sew onto the face.

Arms:
[All in Brown]

Ch 5

(04:39) Row 1: Working in back loops of the chs, skip the first ch, sl.st 1, ch 2, sl.st 1 into the same ch as the previous sl.st, sl.st into last 3 remaining chs down (5 sl.sts)

Ch 1, cut the yarn and pull through leaving a long enough end to sew onto the body.

Body:

Cut leaving a long enough end to sew onto the body and pull through.

(32:37) Add the back lights in light blue.

Finally, just defeat the Empire to finish it up!
