Patreon

What’s Patreon?
So if you don’t know what Patreon is, it’s basically a platform to support creators with the things they make, be it videos or little stuffed miniatures like me. You can pledge any amount of money you want per month and become a patron of the art! Think of it like an on going Kickstarter campaign, or even a tipping service, but with benefits.

I have a whole bunch of goals I’m aiming for, like a book, tons of new patterns, and eventually even hopefully to branch out! Check out all them here.

Kay, but what do I get out of it?
Other than helping me out also get a bunch of content that you wouldn’t normally. Things like:
-Longer, more in-depth tutorials
Video patterns for patrons only!
-Extra episodes of “Watch me Crochet”
-Patreon specific Crochet Me’s
-A decision in who I make next!
-Patreon specific discounts and sales in my Etsy store
-Being known as an awesome human by me!

In addition if you pledge a certain amount of money you can get some extra perks like free patterns or I’ll even crochet you! Check out a list on the Patreon page here.

Two new patterns tomorrow!

The Olympics were a while back, and I never did come out with a pattern for them. That was mostly due to the despute between Ravelry and USOC. If you havn’t heard about all that jazz, check it out here, it’s very interesting.

Aaany how, while I didn’t come out with a pattern for the Olympics, a friend and amazing crochet and pattern artist, Lucy, who lives in England, and I decided we would do a little pattern swap for the occasion. If you havn’t seen any of her work check out her blog and Etsy, it’s honestly incredible. She’s made some of the most awesome Star Wars themed amigurumi among the tons of other amigurumi patterns she has available.

London comissioned artist from around England to create works of art specifically for the Olympics, one of which were these absolutely amazing giant crocheted lions by Shauna Richardson. She is another incredible crochet artist, check out more about her work here. To comemorate this amazing feat in crocheting and somewhat the Olympics, Lucy and I decided to do a pattern swap focused on Lions.

She created a simply adorable amigurumi lion named Boris. Her, her kids, and Boris went to go visit the lions in London a few weeks back and talks about the incredible size of the crocheted beasts. Check out her blog entry here talking more about her trip. Tomorrow we’ll be doing the swap so check out her creation, Boris, here and my creation, Leroy the lion pin, on her site!

Early November Giveaway Game!

So Novembers almost here, and with it, will be coming some great new crafts and patterns! But the things I’m planning are not exactly finished yet. So, I thought why not give a sneak preview of whats to come, as well as making it into a game! With a prize of course. 🙂

So here are three different items that are not finished yet, but are on their way, and enough done to be able to tell what they are. But it’s not going to be easy. The rules of the game are pretty simple, you have to guess what each of the items are and post your guesses in the comment box below or on Facebook. Whoever comments with the most correct answers fastest will be shipped one of the items! Pretty simple. This game will end on November 15th because that’s when I’m going to start posting the answers! Good Luck!

Here are the items to guess:

1.

2.

3.

This one is easily the most difficult.
